I love Santorini and have now been 4 times to this wonderful island. I keep being asked about where I stay and also about my yoga teacher so this blog post is my guide to Santorini.
Where to stay?
My choice of hotel is Agia Irini - it is an 11 room hotel in between Oia and Fira (on the quiet side of the island). It takes 10 mins to drive to both towns and you are away from noise and crowds. You do need to hire a car as nothing is within walking distance or the hotel can help with transport.
The views are stunning, the service is wonderful and it is run by a very friendly Greek family. Vaggelis (together with his parents) make your stay a real pleasure.
Plus this is a very budget friendly hotel - I paid around $60USD per night in July.
It has a score of 9/10 on booking.com
For my last three trips, I have also had private yoga sessions every day. I found Veronika online and wow, what an amazing yoga teacher. I really deepened my yoga practise with her and she explains positions very well and is also very intuitive. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She came to my hotel for our yoga classes and I felt like I had my own yoga retreat. She does also run classes every week plus retreats.
