This blog post is about something I have on my mind at the moment - love letters. I have always love receiving post. I remember as a child, before we had emails and text messages, the joy of getting a letter in the post. I remember the long love letters from teenage boyfriends and being able to re-read and keep letters.
I have recently sent friends a thank you note or a note to say hello and I am thinking of you and the response I have had from them has really made me think this is something I want to do more of. It is so easy to send an email or a Facebook message. Choosing a card, writing a message, getting to the post box...it does take more effort....and that effort is appreciate by the person receiving the letter or card. Show some love and send someone a love note.
If you need inspiration, check out the Love Letter Library. You can buy a pack of love letters each month and leave these for strangers or send them to people you know and love.
And whilst I love posted love letters, I did so much appreciate this love note from one of my dear friends Laura which she posted on Instagram and Facebook. She drives a project called Leave Me a Note which is all about leaving notes for people to find around the world. Check it out and be a part of it.
