This week I made a simple mistake. But the mistake cost me Kr 529 ($78). The amount of money is actually not significant to this story - although annoying - but it showed me that I need to take a break.
What was this simple mistake? I had some new business cards made and I was so busy being busy and multi tasking that I didn't check them properly. It was only after I had sent them to the printer and was so excited about the new design and was showing the Navy guy, that I realised I hadn't checked them and my website was wrong. I had to get them re-printed and so the business cards cost me double!
I realised this mistake was because I was getting burnt out, not being present and not having enough re-charge time. I am LOVING creating my own business. It excites me, appeals to my creative side, I feel a big drive inside of me.
I am also learning that after four intense months of setting up the business - in addition to all the other elements in my life - I need to see these signs, whether it is mistakes like the one this week or my tiredness and take action.
I am taking 4 days off starting from Friday evening. A chance to recharge, rest, sleep, read, listen to jazz, watch some films...who knows...I will do what I feel is needed.
